I love Area 49! How can I encourage others to use it?

Answer

If you are a student, one of the best ways to encourage other students to use Area 49 is just to talk about it! If you've used Area 49 for your own project, tell others what you've done and how you've done it. If they are working on a project, whether it's for a class or for themselves, mention Area 49 if you know that we have the resources for that particular thing, or if you know that we can help them in a particular way. Word-of-mouth and a bit of encouragement can go a long way, particularly for someone who hasn't used Area 49 before and may be hesitant to go into a new space. Don't forget to let them know that they can talk with both Area 49 student workers and Area 49 librarians about their ideas at any step of the way!

Anyone can reach out to us and see how we can facilitate activities for student, staff, or faculty groups, including classes!
