What library privileges do graduate students have at the library?

Masters degree students, PhD students, and other students of the Graduate School have different privileges than other user groups, including checkout periods.
Checking out and Requesting Items
Masters degree students can check out books from for 60 days and PhD students can check out books for 180 days. These loan periods apply to books at Atkins Library, the Architecture Library, and Offsite Storage.
Both Masters degree students and PhD students can check out periodicals for 7 days. In addition to checking out periodicals, graduate students are also able to request periodicals from Offsite Storage.
Research Support
You can schedule one-on-one research help with a librarian. Librarians can help you identify the best databases, build search strategies, choose potential avenues for publication, and provide support as you go through your program. Reach out to the appropriate subject librarian to get started.
Instruction Support for IORs and TAs
Graduate Student Instructors (IORs) and Teaching Assistants (TAs) can schedule library instruction sessions to receive support in their course curriculum.
