What is a Friends of the Atkins Library and how do I become one?

Answer

The Friends of Atkins Library (FOAL) is the library's community borrower program available with a yearly donation starting at $49.

Friends of Atkins Library can check out up to six items from our physical collection and can access the library's electronic resources while in our building.

To get your FOAL card, visit the university's Make a Gift page. On this page, select the "Access & Opportunity" button and you will be taken to a list of funds that you can donate to. Select "Library" and then the "Friends of Atkins Library" option. Select the "Credit Card" button, select your donation amount (giving levels can be found here), and then fill in your card details to complete the donation. The next time you visit Atkins Library, you can provide your email receipt and a valid ID at the Information & Research Desk to receive your card.
